Vacancy Brief:
* The role is of a Support Worker, this is a temp to perm opportunity.
* This vacancy is part-time, 28 hours per week.
* Shift Patterns are 08:00 am – 16:00 pm AND 14:30pm – 22:30 pm
* Week 1 - 08:00 - 16:00 Wed, Sat, and Sun
* Week 2 – 08:00 16:00 – Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri
* Week 3 – 14.30 – 22.30 - Wed, Sat, and Sun
* Week 4 - 14.30 – 22.30 - Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri.
* Candidate must have a driving license and own a car as they may be required to support other services around Lincoln such as Grantham and Boston
* Mileage will be paid at 0.45p per mile for any work-related travel.
* Pay rate for this role is £14.41 per hour on PAYE OR £19.03 Umbrella.
* A current Enhanced DBS for children and adults will be required for this role.
The Responsibilities:
* The Support Worker will work co-operatively with children’s services, health agencies and other community-based services, to provide the most effective service for young people and their families.
* In your role as a Support worker, you will be tasked with developing practical life skill sessions or programmes with service users as required.
* Part of your role will be to engage with actual and potential referral agencies including local authority central access point/gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to generate referrals for the service as required.
* As a Support Worker, you will be required to plan and deliver an effective support and safety plan with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required.
* In your role as a Support worker, you will develop a move-on plan with service users at the earliest opportunity, identifying realistic options for independent or more appropriate housing.
* Furthermore, you will support service users to undertake domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills.
