Our services include 1:1 and group education as well as sport & fitness Boxing sessions. We employ a person-centered approach to our sessions to instill empathy, ensuring participants feel safe to speak and share. Our goal is to remove elements of institutionalization from their environment.
Role Description
This is a part time community and Prisosn's based role located in Clackmannan with scooe to be mobile to potential other areas such as North Lanarkshire. The Volunteer Staff will assist in organizing and conducting workshops, education sessions, and sport & fitness ideally boxing activities. Responsibilities include engaging with participants to provide support, facilitating group discussions, and ensuring a safe environment. The Volunteer Staff will also be involved in planning and delivering person-centered sessions to foster positive growth among participants.
Qualifications
* Experience in education, counseling, social work, addiction and criminal justice
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to facilitate group discussions and one-on-one sessions
* Understanding of sport & fitness activities
* Empathy and patience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
* Certified training in first aid and mental health support is a plus
* Relevant experience in non-profit or community-based organizations is beneficial
* A love of fitness ideally boxing.
