As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
* Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support with medication management, ensuring correct dosages and timely administration
* Help with meal preparation and feeding when required
* Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
* Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
* Accompany service users to appointments or social activities as needed
* Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
* Access to your own motor vehicle or motorbike/bike
Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care-giving role is preferred
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Physical fitness to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
* NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification
* First Aid certification is advantageous
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of the role
* Understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding procedures
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
