Veritas Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for schools across South East London starting September 2026. Candidates must have prior experience teaching students with special educational needs in an educational setting. Qualified teachers with QTS are preferred, but unqualified teachers with strong SEN teaching experience will also be considered.
Role Overview:
As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons tailored to students' individual needs, supporting their academic progress as well as personal development. You will help students build confidence, social skills, and independence in a nurturing, inclusive environment. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff as part of a collaborative team committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with special educational needs
Support students in overcoming learning barriers and building confidence
Collaborate with staff to provide effective support for each student
Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progressAbout You:
Experienced in teaching students with SEN
QTS or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practices
Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
