First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Working as part of a design team delivering detailed designs
* Proven experience in electrical design within a consultancy or similar environment, including a strong portfolio of delivered projects
* Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., BS 7671, Building Regulations)
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and calculation tools (e.g., Electrical-OM, Amtech, Dialux)
* Designing site-specific equipment as required
* Liaising closely with other design professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
* Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in various buildings and sites, aiming to minimize environmental impact and reduce carbon footprint
Skills and Qualifications:
* Possess an accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification and experience in a similar role
* Ideally chartered or working towards chartered engineer status with a suitable institution
* Excellent communication skills to articulate complex issues between clients and project teams
* Willingness to learn, with high diligence and organizational skills
