Starting Salary: £31,000 - £39,000 (Depending on Contact Chosen)

The Service Engineer (Field) role is suitable for engineers from various backgrounds such as plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. It is also a great opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to transition into a new industry, as full training will be provided. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, with ideally some engine diagnostic and basic electrical skills.
The company manufactures forklift trucks. As part of a local team, your responsibilities will include carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on forklifts and related equipment within Coventry. No extensive travel or overnight stays are required. Overtime is available mainly during weekdays.
The Service Engineer (Field) Role in Brief:
* Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery as a field service engineer
* Reactive breakdown coverage within the designated geographical area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment
* Spares will be placed in the van overnight
The Person Required:
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade backgrounds are also suitable
* Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
