Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to work at Blackheath Hospital. The role will be a multidisciplinary laboratory (haematology/ blood transfusion/ chemistry).
The successful candidate will assist in the daily running of the laboratory section to be assigned within the Department of Pathology. To assist in the performance of the routine diagnostic analytical work of the department as directed and to provide general support in other areas of the Laboratory.
Department is a hub laboratory supporting 5 separate hospitals within the area. On site the laboratory processes routine Chemistry, Haematology and Blood transfusion samples.
Requirement to take part in shift patterns shared with two other MLAs, shifts detailed below
Late shift 12:45pm till 9pm
Mid Shift 10:45am till 7pm
Normal shift 9am till 5:15pm
As well as participation in Saturday rota paid at overtime rate 12pm till 5pm
