Environmental Services Operative (Non-Driver)
£25,583 - £25,989 per annum

Responsibilities
* Support the operations of Environmental Services, helping the council to deliver its purpose of creating a clean, safe and accessible environment.
* Prioritise work according to what matters to residents and ensure service is delivered right first time.
* Work flexibly depending on day-to-day needs, including sweeping, collection and removal of all litter, dirt, leaves and weeds.
* Remove fly-tipped material (e.g., furniture, household waste, tyres, white goods, garden waste).
* Coordinate with the Enforcement Team as necessary.
* Undertake general maintenance on green space sites, including grass cutting, hedge and shrub pruning, weeding beds and borders.
* Maintain street furniture, including power washing and cleaning.
* Clean public toilets and recreational changing rooms by mopping, scrubbing, and sweeping with appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates will need experience in environmental operations together with good interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of what matters to local residents in terms of environmental quality.
