Company Overview
A rapidly growing second-hand car retailer, the company has doubled in size post-Covid. With dedicated teams managing buying, selling, and aftersales, data-driven decision-making is central to optimising operations and supporting continued expansion.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role bridges technical expertise and business strategy, working across departments to ensure data is effectively structured and leveraged.
Your day-to-day will involve:
* Defining and prioritising key data metrics to support business objectives
* Maintaining and optimising the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring scalability and efficiency
* Managing extract, store, transform (EST) processes using Fivetran, Snowflake, and DBT
* Developing and monitoring dashboards to provide real-time insights in Power BI
* Conducting deep-dive analysis into geographical sales trends, market demand, and performance drivers
* Presenting findings to senior stakeholders, translating technical insights into strategic recommendations
Requirements
* Must-have: Strong SQL expertise and a data visualisation tool, ideally Power BI
* Preferred: Experience with DBT or Fivetran
* Solid understanding of cloud-based data warehousing and ETL workflows, such as Snowflake
* Multiple years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a similar function
* Ability to engage stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
