About the role
Ready for a fresh challenge? We have an exciting and rare opportunity for you to join our lively kitchen team at the world-class University of Bath. We’re looking for a talented Chef de Partie who’s passionate about food and eager to bring creativity and skill to our menus.
What you’ll do:
* Take ownership of your section and lead by example
* Mentor and support junior kitchen staff
* Work alongside a team of six Chef de Parties, with guidance from our Sous Chefs and Head Chef
* Contribute your ideas to our ever-evolving menus – we love fresh inspiration!
Our outlets offer a diverse range of dining experiences, from global street food to fine dining, so no two days are the same.
The role is full-time on a 5-over-7 contract and includes early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts. You will be working in a vibrant, fast-paced kitchen environment.
About you
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and owns their responsibilities in the kitchen. You’ll:
* Deliver high standards every day through hard work and dependability.
* Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade and wider catering team.
* Handle challenges professionally and efficiently, staying calm and solutions-focused.
* Stay organised and positive during busy service times, thriving under pressure.
* Prepare for the next shift and keep the kitchen running smoothly during quieter periods.
