Thales is seeking a Workshop Operations Manager to supervise, coordinate and plan IRT Technician activity in support of UK MoD equipment, primarily at the Thorney Island facility and at customer locations.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate workshop activities including fault diagnoses, repair, testing, overhaul, integration, assembly and maintenance of military assets to achieve equipment availability per the master schedule.
* Supervise and plan work, ensuring completion within deadlines and communicating task status to line management and customers.
* Identify and coordinate electro-mechanical servicing and maintenance tasks; certify functionality against relevant documentation.
* Oversee fault diagnosis, repair, testing, overhaul and refurbishment with final certification of functionality.
* Report progress and equipment status to line management and customer representatives.
* Capture data sets for inclusion in reports and applications; coordinate work using MoD applications (e.g., JAMES) and Thales applications (Oracle, Open Asset, Workday).
