Job Description
3. Act as the main point of contact for all supply-related matters for UK supermarkets and key customers
4. Work closely with Sales and Buying teams to maintain stock levels and achieve 98%+ service levels
5. Collaborate with Senior Buyer and Warehouse Operations to ensure 100% availability for new product launches
6. Coordinate forecasting, promotions, and order fulfilment with customer supply chain teams
7. Maintain and update weekly sales forecasts using EPOS and retailer data
8. Ensure optimum stock holding at third-party warehouses and manage stock transfers
9. Support new product launches including line forms, samples, mock-ups, and EDI updates
10. Provide early visibility of stock risks or supply issues to internal stakeholders
11. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies with Warehouse Stock Control
12. Oversee blocked stock levels to ensure appropriate months of cover
13. Support sales activity through account research, lead generation, and buyer engagement
14. Assist with business presentations for major retail buying teams
15. Book and manage appointments with supermarket buyers and head office teams
16. Liaise with supply chain, logistics, warehouse, and customers to support promotions and availability
17. Deliver agreed monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
18. Resolve customer complaints and manage account-related processes
19. Analyse consumer and sales data to identify trends and changes in customer demand
The Successful Applicant
A successful Supply Chain Co-ordinator should have:
20. Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, or FMCG operations
21. Strong understanding of retail supply chains, forecasting, and stock management
22. Confident working with data, EPOS systems, and forecasting tools
23. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
24. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
25. Commercially aware with the confidence to support sales and customer-facing activity
26. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
