The restaurant has established itself as a classic Soho staple, serving a daily changing menu that celebrates premium ingredients alongside a constantly evolving wine and drinks list.
Focus of the role:
To lead our passionate and dynamic team in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time on-site role at 10 Greek Street in London. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in manging the day-to-day operations, managing and developing staff, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, controlling costs, and driving revenue growth. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for helping maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring staff are complying with health and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for opening and closing the premises and being a key holder
* Manage the front of house staff on shifts and liaise with the kitchen to ensure a smooth and successful service
* Assist the General Manager in leading the staff to deliver a customer experience that is second to none
* Deal with any customer complaints in a professional and calm manner ensuring the issue is successfully resolved
* Assist the General Manager with certain administrative roles as designated.
* Maximise the number of covers and constantly be looking for ways to upsell and increase revenue
* Work with the General Manager to ensure all private room and venue hire bookings are delivered to the highest standards
* Responsible for helping ensure all restaurant telephone and email enquiries are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner.
* Assisting the Bar Manager to ensure all stock usage is being logged appropriately and deliveries are being imputed and accepted correctly into the system.
* Ensuring all stock products are up to date and correctly set up on the epos system
* Encouraging an atmosphere of positivity, inclusivity and tolerance
* Be the main point of contact for the Operations Director when the General Manager is on annual leave or sick
Essential or Preferred Skills:
* Proven experience as a manager in the restaurant or hospitality industry
* Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
* Experience with staff management and development
* Ability to drive revenue growth and control costs
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and policies
* Passionate about great food and exceptional service
