Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems within our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair various electrical components. The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring minimal downtime in operations. Experience within an industrial area is essential along with experience of working with PLCs and conveyors.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations.
* Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure comprehensive facility upkeep.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proficient in electrical systems, with a solid understanding of wiring diagrams and schematics.
* Experience using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical maintenance tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to electrical work is advantageous.
* Experience in an industrial environment, PLCs, and conveyors is essential.
Job Details
* Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
* Pay: £30.51 per hour
* Location: On-site, In person
* Schedule: Full-time role (approx. 40 hours a week) with shift rotation
o Week 1 = 6am - 2pm
o Week 2 = 2pm - 10pm
Experience & Certification
* Electrical: 3 years (required)
* Licence/Certification: JIB Gold Card (required)
