Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your prime areas of responsibility will be:
1. Maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
2. Factory maintenance and repairs (60% Mechanical 40% Electrical).
3. Provide mechanical support to all factory machines, conveyors, labellers, scales, and process equipment.
4. Conduct routine inspections and carry out PPM and breakdown response.
5. Work closely with all departments to minimise downtime.
6. Site service and facilities maintenance when required.
7. Fault diagnostics and rectification.
8. Breakdown Response.
9. Achieve set targets, both individual and team.
10. Complete all the necessary documentation for the Engineering department.
11. Keen eye for detail and strong experience in preventative maintenance.
12. Perform all activities in accordance with Food, Health & Safety regulations.
13. Ensure an effective handover between shifts.
14. To observe, recognise and report component defects and impending failures.
15. Carry out machine adjustments and changeover.
Skills and Qualifications
16. Experience with hydraulic, pneumatics, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes etc.
17. Electrical Qualifications an advantage (City & Guilds).
18. Process plant and filler/packaging machinery experience desirable as well as experience in factory environment.
19. HMI/PLC programming, working knowledge an advantage.
