Your Role
As an Audit Manager, you'll play a key role in both delivery and leadership. You will:
* Lead and manage audits for a varied portfolio of clients, planning and overseeing fieldwork in line with partner direction
* Monitor progress against targets and resolve challenges proactively
* Prepare and review financial statements for both audit and non-audit clients
* Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
* Communicate technical matters clearly and practically to clients and colleagues
* Coach and support junior staff in their development
* Undertake technical research and share insights across the team
* Contribute to departmental growth and assist with proposals for new business
* Attend networking and business events locally to represent the firm
* Travel to client sites across the region, with hybrid working arrangements available
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident in leading audits and enjoys being a hands-on manager. Ideally, you will have:
* ACA or ACCA qualification (or be part-qualified with substantial experience)
* Strong audit experience within accountancy practice
* Experience mentoring, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior staff
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and team members
* The ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional, adaptable way
* Good technical knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Familiarity with Caseware (advantageous but not essential)
