The role
To support our continued growth, we are looking for EC&I Designers at Senior Designer, Engineer and Senior Engineer levels for our offices in Chorley and Whitehaven who will translate clients’ requirements into concept designs leading to fully engineered solutions.
1. Translating user requirements and technical specifications into concept designs and fully engineered design solutions, either working on an individual basis or part of small team of engineers and designers.
2. Planning and executing engineering and design activities.
3. Production of technical reports and specifications.
4. Production of design substantiation and scoping calculations.
5. Undertaking site surveys and producing survey reports.
6. Undertaking technical reviews and risk assessments.
7. Complying with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and ensuring work is undertaken in accordance with relevant company procedures.
The Person
8. Ideally the successful candidate will have worked in a highly regulated environment such as the Nuclear industry
9. Experience around Remote Handling Systems and HAZOPs would be advantageous
10. Expertise demonstrable in one or more specific specialist areas relevant to the engineering discipline.
11. Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including positions influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering work packages.
12. Ideally the candidate will have some level of security clearance.
