Criminal Litigation Solicitor Position Overview
You will manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients at police stations, Magistrates, and Crown Courts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both sensitive and complex cases within a supportive, high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities Of The Criminal Litigation Solicitor
* Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates and Crown Courts
* Prepare and manage criminal defence cases from instruction through to trial
* Advise clients on a broad range of criminal law matters, including serious crime
* Liaise with counsel, experts, and witnesses throughout the case lifecycle
* Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and autonomy
* Contribute to business development and departmental growth
* Maintain outstanding client care and uphold firm standards
Requirements Of The Crime Litigation Solicitor
* Qualified Solicitor with at least 1-2 years PQE in criminal defence or litigation
* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Client‑focused, professional, and proactive approach
