Our Public Sector Client is currently seeking a temporary Ongoing Financial Assessment Team Officer based in Newry
Hours of work Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Rate of pay £12.31 per hour
Duties:
The postholder will support the Financial Assessments Team in the provision of financial assessment services to the Trust.
The postholder will assist in the preparation of financial assessments, raising of invoices and recovery of income due to the Trust.
1. Provide admin support to the Financial Assessors in the preparation and calculation of financial assessments, including preparation of letters, routine calculations, maintaining files, dealing with correspondence etc
1. Assist in the recovery of Trust income and expenditure, including calculating amounts due, generating invoices according to Trust policies and procedures, producing monthly reminder letters/statements and Aged Debt report, and promptly and appropriately resolving queries from all Departments
2. Receive, receipt and record remittances made to the Trust including cash, cheques, electronic transfers etc
3. Assist the Financial Assessor in preparing lodgements, including counting cash/cheques and reconciling to recorded receipts
4. Ensure that transactions are properly recorded and coded to e-Financials and General Ledger, and all documentation and records are filed in accordance with the Trust’s policies and procedures
Essential Criteria:
* 4 GCSEs Grades A-C including English & Maths or equivalent and 1 years administrative experience in an office envriornment
Or
* 2 years administrative experience
* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel or Equivalent
* Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
