Overview
Job Summary
Performs multiple tasks associated with in-house calibration, repair, and maintenance of Werfen Transfusion instrumentation and parts. Responsible for in-house instrumentation for Neo, Echo, and Manual Capture Workstation systems utilized in customer training, production, product investigation lab and technical training labs.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
1. Repair and refurbishment of instruments and parts to meet Sales forecast demands and service replacement parts needs
2. Performs installation, servicing and maintenance relative to in-house instruments used in training, production and product investigation labs
3. Inspect and process returned parts and instruments from Field Service and customers into inventory control
4. Evaluate and prepare Demo and Clinical Trail instruments prior to use at external sites
5. Repair customer owned Manual capture Workstation Equipment
6. Keep and maintain accurate records of duties performed using appropriate documentation for all repairs, maintenance, RMAs, parts shipments, etc.
7. Coordinate and assist with shipment of parts from the main office to OEMs and vice versa
8. Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move instruments and other service related materials to and from storage crates and locations within the company
9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Networking/Key Relationships
10. Ad-hoc troubleshooting assistance with field service staff and attend meetings with field service when needed
11. Communication with department owners of instrumentation and equipment and provide updated turnaround of repaired equipment
12. Interacts cooperatively with co-workers and receives direction well from managers
13. Displays ability to be an effective team member
14. Communicate with internal departments and external vendors in regards to departmental projects and resource needs. Able to discuss status of projects and needs and appropriate turnaround time.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:
Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.
Skills & Capabilities
15. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
16. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
17. Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
18. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exists
19. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
20. Ability to effectively troubleshoot, test, and repair electronics boards, motors, fluidics systems, and other instrument components. Other clinical engineering experience with medical devices as needed
21. Displays PC skills with Microsoft Office (word and Excel) and other desktop applications at a basic level.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel may be required from time to time.
The annual base salary range for this role is currently $33.00/hr to $40.00/hr. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
