Foundation to Advance Clinical Pharmacist Programme
Join to apply for the Foundation to Advance Clinical Pharmacist Programme role at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is an 18 month competency-based progression programme with incremental enhancement at 12 and 18 months. Pharmacists in the programme will work towards key objectives to transition from a post-registration foundation pharmacist (band 6) into an advance clinical pharmacist (band 7).
What you will do
 * Participate in a competency-based progression programme with structured development across clinical specialties.
 * Work towards attainment of a clinically enhanced pharmacist independent prescribing qualification as an extension of the programme.
 * Be self-directed, productive, a team player, and capable of managing the busy responsibilities of this NHS role.
Who can apply
 * Trainee pharmacists or other sector pharmacists who wish to develop their career in hospital settings.
 * Experienced band 6 or 7 pharmacists; they will be aligned to the appropriate stage of the programme depending on experience.
Sites and specialities
University Hospitals Sussex has recently merged two legacy Trusts consisting of the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital in the East and Worthing, St Richards and Southlands in the West. When applying, specify your preferred site in the application form. Worthing And St Richards Hospitals are included. Specialities include Elderly Care (including stroke and orthogeriatric), Medicine (including cardiology, endocrinology and respiratory), Surgery (including trauma & orthopaedics, colorectal and bariatric surgery), Acute Medicine and Frailty, Aseptic services (Haematology & Oncology services), Dispensary services, Women and Children’s, High-Cost Drugs/Homecare, HIV, Education and Training and Critical Care.
