Provide leadership in project management, for the delivery of capital projects such as hospital campus developments or primary care programmes under a framework procurement such as hub, e.g. the development of Royal Edinburgh Campus, Western General Hospital or East Lothian Community Hospital.
Significant planning, organisation and coordination to deliver the capital strategy for NHS Lothian and the Integration Joint Boards. Projects will take years from initial agreement to completion, with significant changes during development therefore long term planning projections require to be considered and, where appropriate, influenced.
Managing all aspects of projects, from business case development, specification of client requirements and technical standards, design, town planning, on to procurement and construction, and finally, into the operational phase, ensuring they are delivered within the scope agreed by the Project Board and NHS Lothian.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
