Our kitchen takes pride in using fresh, seasonal ingredients to deliver high-quality dishes that keep guests coming back. We're now looking for a talented and experienced Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and help lead the kitchen team.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You'll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards, manage service, and ensure consistency across all dishes. This is a hands-on role, perfect for a chef who thrives in a busy kitchen and wants to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management
* Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
* Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
* Assisting with menu planning and development
* Training, mentoring, and supporting junior chefs
* Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, safety, and health standards
* Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
* Contributing to a positive, professional, and motivated team culture
About You
* At least three years' experience in a similar role or strong experience as a Chef de Partie ready to step up
* A passion for fresh, seasonal food and delivering high-quality dishes
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Calm and reliable under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
* A team player with excellent communication skills
* Food hygiene certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
* Flexible and reliable – able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
