Job Description
Our friendly team in Desborough has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Supervisor to join their team on a full-time permanent basis!
As a Quality Supervisor, you will ensure the day-to-day running of the quality and hygiene functions and liaise closely with the site customers to ensure the production documents, quality checks, and GMP comply with the business and site standards.
Salary: £38,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, working between 6 am and 6 pm.
Key Duties of a Quality Supervisor:
* Effectively manage and motivate a team of people, driving them to be continually audit-ready.
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the site QAs and hygiene team, ensuring required standards are maintained.
* Maintain day-to-day contact with our customer base, including responding to queries and complaints.
* Act as the Food Safety and HACCP lead for the site.
* Participate in site audits, customer visits, and complete internal audits including GMP.
* Collate data on incidents, non-conformances, and complaints.
* Analyze complaints and communicate KPIs both internally and externally.
* Initiate incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Contribute to the continual improvement of IPS processes, including root cause analysis where required.
* Promote and adhere to health, safety, and quality regulations in line with company standards.
Qualifications
* Experience working within a food quality environment in a quality role.
* Minimum 2 years of quality experience, with an understanding of quality management systems, including GFSI certification.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and coach positively and clearly.
* Experience managing a team, fostering an open and collaborative culture, and encouraging new ideas.
* Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to work under pressure both as part of a team and independently.
