This is a nurturing and inclusive specialist Alternative Provision school for children and young people in Key Stages 2 to 4 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your Role
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students access learning and manage behaviour.
* Assist students in developing resilience, emotional regulation, and social skills.
* Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
* Celebrate student achievements and contribute to their personal growth.
What You Need
* Experience working with young people with SEMH or additional needs (at least 3 months).
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Empathy, energy, and a genuine passion for supporting students to succeed.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
* Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable; however, people with alternative backgrounds (Youth Worker, Residential Support Worker, Care Worker, Mental Health practitioner, Psychology Graduate with practical experience, Learning Support Assistant, etc.) will be considered.
