Traffic Management Operative
Contract: Cheshire East Highways
Location: Nantwich
Contract Type: Permanent
In this role, you will work as part of a team to install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management systems, helping to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of works across the network.
The Role
•Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.
•Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low-speed roads.
•Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic signals including, two-way traffic control, up to multi-phase traffic control. Ensuring the units are installed correctly and that batteries are fully charged.
•Collect traffic management from sites once projects have been completed.
•Manage checklists to ensure equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational prior to delivery.
About You
•Previous experience of delivering highway maintenance traffic management on site.
•A current, valid driving licence is essential, with LGV class 2 as desirable.
•Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessments
•Able to take responsibility for traffic management, 12 A/B Traffic Management essential with the relevant NHSS 12 training.
•A good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace.
