We are looking for a Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join Millie's Day Nursery in our Toddler room who will provide a safe, secure, caring, nuturing, and supportive environment for the children. Providing enjoyable learning opportunities for the children in order to aid their personal growth and development within Millie's Day Nursery. To support the manager with the day to day operations.

This position is 40 hours per week, spread over 4 days 48 weeks of the year. Shift pattern is 7.30am - 6pm. We are willing to consider a term time position for the right applicant.

The main responsibilities and tasks of a room leader role include:

- To support the manager, deputy, and other room leaders daily.

- Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meet their individual needs.

- Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflex the needs, interests, and stages of development of the child by effective delivery of the key person approach.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education and provide feedback to create a consistent approach of early years practice.

- Safeguard and promote the health, safetly, and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures.

- Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.

- To help create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where each child will have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential enabling ample learning opportunities both inside and outside developing childrens curiosity and knowledge.

- Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents, carers, and other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained at all times.

- You are always in your classroom leading and modeling the very best care and learning for the whole class cohort that your team can be inspired from. To model the best language and practice so that less experienced staff can learn from you.

- You will keep a tidy, clutter free and clean classroom with display work that promotes childrens learning and interests.

- To have an in depth knowledge of EYFS and the statutory framework in order to support the manager and all staff when necessary.

- To complete highly motivating and challenging weekly plans for all children in the classroom including those with SEN, EAL, and any cohort children that are vulnerable learners.
