This role is to support a Woman. The candidate should be a woman*. Drivers licence required: Yes. Own vehicle needed: Yes.
Employment & Hours
Employment status: Employed or Self-employed
Hours per week: Tuesday to Thursday 8-9am; Saturday or every other Saturday 8-10am with possible additional hours by mutual agreement. Ad-hoc additional hours may be offered for holiday cover, team sickness, or one-off activities, with no obligation to accept.
Hourly pay rate: Employed = £15.75 p/h + 5.6 weeks holiday / Self-employed = £18.40 p/h / mileage = 45p per mile.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Medication prompting/administering
* Personal grooming
* Administration
* Housekeeping
* Shopping
* Cooking
* Transportation
* Looking after pets
* Gardening
* Dressing / undressing
* Other relevant duties as required
Morning Tasks
* Making breakfast and drinks
* Tidying kitchen and emptying dishwasher
* Putting a wash on and/or putting clothes away
* Food prep such as chopping vegetables or boiling eggs
* Shower help and hair wash (no toileting)
* Setting up hobbies e.g. putting sewing machine ready
* Unpacking food shop
* If covering ad-hoc shifts, assisting with daily life at home and out; the client is a wheelchair user
Candidate Qualities
* Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
* Reliable with good timekeeping
* Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Hygienic, tidy and well organised
* Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
* Honest and cheerful
* Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
* Comfortable with pets; dog compatibility
* Commitment to high health & safety standards
* Willing to work in a friendly, collaborative way and get tasks done
* Can-do attitude; willing to learn and work independently once acclimated
* Non-smoker due to chemical sensitivities and asthma; avoid strong perfumes
* Driver with own car preferred; mileage paid at 45p per mile
Additional Requirements
Non-smoker due to medical reasons; vulnerable to infection risk and disease transmission.
