The Role
An established engineering business is seeking a Support Technician to join their expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Production/Technical Lead to support day-to-day operations.
* Use internal systems to manage stock, track orders, and update production progress.
* Carry out checks on incoming components to confirm they meet quality standards, raising and resolving issues where needed.
* Prepare and organise parts for assembly work.
* Assist with the assembly and repair of equipment, following set procedures and guidelines.
* Support product testing and calibration, recording results accurately.
* Pack completed products to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
* Maintain an organised, safe, and efficient work environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to meet production targets.
The Candidate
* Hold a recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
* Have previous hands-on experience in assembly, production, or technical support within a manufacturing environment.
* Be confident in using measurement tools and working to tight tolerances.
* Be able to interpret technical drawings and written instructions.
* Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Be comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment.
* Bring good IT skills, with prior use of ERP or MRP systems an advantage.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
The Package
£25,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience).
