We are looking to recruit a sessional tutor to deliver Tai Chi courses in and around the South Bucks area, including Gerrards Cross and other venues.
About us
At Buckinghamshire Adult Learning, we provide inclusive learning opportunities to promote wellbeing and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential. We are part of Buckinghamshire Council and the main provider of part-time learning opportunities for adults in the county.
Our Apprenticeship & Work Based Learning team offers a range of Apprenticeships and other work-based learning opportunities across various industries, for young people starting their careers or upskilling for future prospects and personal development. We offer qualifications in Business Administration, Customer Service, Accounting/Bookkeeping (AAT), Health and Social Care, Early Years, and Management, usually in conjunction with the learner’s employer.
The Skills Development team provides qualifications from Entry Level to GCSE in subjects including English, Maths, Digital Skills, and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). This department also includes the Learning for All (LFA) provision, which runs courses promoting skills and independence for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, and the Community Engagement team, which works with job seekers and learners who may not typically access learning, offering courses from CV writing and interview skills to budgeting and confidence building.
Our Community Learning provision includes the Family Learning team, working with parents and carers to increase confidence in supporting their children at home; and the Learning for Personal Development team, offering mainly non-accredited courses in Languages, Fitness, Art, Floristry, Sewing, Pottery, and other Creative Studies subjects.
If you possess skills or hobbies that could contribute to our service, we would love to hear from you.
About the role
We seek a tutor to work flexibly between 2-10 hours per week during daytime and evening hours. Occasional Saturday workshops are also part of the role to strengthen our programme.

Hourly rate: £22.05 - £34.33, depending on teaching qualifications.
Applicants must hold an introductory teaching/training award such as City & Guilds PTLLS or Award in Education and Training (or be willing to obtain one within 6 months).
A subject-specific qualification at NVQ 3/HNC level or equivalent is required.
It is essential that all tutors can plan and deliver high-quality sessions and maintain records of student progress.
The successful candidate will support adult learners in developing their skills and contribute to a learner-centred learning environment.
