An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and approachable HR Advisor to join our thriving UK medical device manufacturing company on an initial period of 12 months.
Based at our Head Office in Wokingham, this role will support the site and its 440 employees by assisting with a broad range of HR activities. These include confidently handling employee relations (particularly low to mid-level cases), managing recruitment campaigns, training coordination, and general day to day HR support and administration. You will also help ensure that both employees and the company follow current employment legislation and internal policies.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in a HR role and may be looking to take the next step in their career. You will be supported by a friendly and experienced HR team, working closely with managers and employees across the business.
This is a varied role which will provide the ability to work alongside stakeholders of all levels of the business.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Providing support and advice to Line Managers on a wide range of ER matters such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness and absence management in line with employment law legislation and our own internal procedures
• Attending, and where necessary chairing HR meetings as required whilst ensuring correct procedures and HR practices are followed
• Providing support to Employees, and acting as first point of contact with any questions or queries they have, and managing the required follow up
• Managing and supporting Line Managers in recruitment and onboarding
• Maintaining thorough, reliable and accurate HR records and documentation, and ensuring compliance with data protection legislation
• Assisting with organising staff events, such as charity and community days
Essential Experience and Qualifications
• Previous experience working in a HR Advisor role
• CIPD Level 3 Qualified or equivalent or working towards
• Knowledge of employment law
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
• Experience working in a medical device, or other highly regulated environments
• Mental Health First Aid trained

Hours of Work
• 25 hours per week
• Office based role
• Ideally Monday – Friday, however consideration and flexibility on this can be given to the right candidate
• 12 months fixed term contract
