3. Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing financial insights and guidance.
4. Prepare and present detailed financial reports to support decision-making processes.
5. Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
6. Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
8. Look at business cases outside of the numbers and finance.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business planning and performance improvements.
10. Provide input into strategic initiatives to support long-term business objectives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
11. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
12. Proven experience in commercial finance.
13. Experience in strategic project work.
14. Strong analytical skills providing the detail, but also being able to discuss the bigger picture - tell the story and know the numbers behind it.
15. Excellent communication skills to liaise with Director level stakeholders.
16. Experience in the retail, FMCG or Food & Beverages industry is advantageous.
17. Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
18. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
