We are looking for a 1st Line IT Support to work a legal claims client in Rawtenstall. The role is Hybrid working 3 days in office and 2 WFH.
Job Role
1st Line IT Support reports to IT Administrator. We are hiring a 1st Line IT Support Technician to be the first point of contact for all internal technical support issues. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and assisting in the upcoming office move and IT infrastructure deployment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping people, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and wants to grow their career in IT. You\'ll support both in-house (25+) and remote (50+) staff in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide first-line support to staff across Mac and Windows devices.
* Support onboarding/offboarding, including setup of devices, accounts, access, MFA, etc.
* Maintain and support endpoints (laptops, monitors, peripherals, printers, etc.).
* Help with cabling, patching, basic network setup, and testing.
* Assist in the new office fit-out, including setting up devices, helping configure WiFi APs, connecting endpoints, installing printers and cameras.
* Log, triage, and escalate tickets when necessary.
* Maintain asset inventory and documentation.
* Deliver simple user training (e.g., how to use MFDs, access drives, use VPNs).
* Work closely with the IT Administrator and external vendors during infrastructure setup.
Key Skills & Experience
* 1-2 years\' experience in IT support, service desk, or helpdesk roles.
* Familiarity with Google Workspace (email, Drive, accounts).
* Comfortable supporting both macOS and Windows devices.
* Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, WiFi troubleshooting).
* Hands-on with hardware (laptop builds, cable management, peripheral setups).
* Clear communicator with a helpful attitude and customer-first mindset.
* Attention to detail and ownership over support issues.
Preferred Qualifications
* CompTIA A+ or similar.
* Exposure to MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune).
* Experience working in office move or setup projects.
