Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute fully to the development and delivery of the Trusts and Grants income line.
2. Prepare and submit grant funding applications.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with grant-making bodies and foundations.
4. Identify new and innovative grant-making opportunities.
5. Work with the fundraising team to develop ideas to improve donor retention.

Job responsibilities
Job Purpose: Work closely with the Trust & Grants Partner and Manager to develop and deliver the Trusts & Grants income. Responsible for preparing and submitting grant applications for four to six-figure gifts, recording impact, and reporting.
Specific Duties:
* Support budget and bid pipeline delivery.
* Prepare and submit funding applications to secure significant income.
* Record, monitor, and report progress using CRM and other methods.
* Manage daily operations of the Trusts & Grants programme.
* Undertake research to develop multiyear pipelines.
* Build and maintain relationships with trust funders.
* Identify new grant opportunities.
* Maintain technical and statistical data for reporting.
* Collaborate across departments for cohesive fundraising efforts.
* Develop new ideas to improve donor retention and increase gifts.
* Support other fundraising areas as needed.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 5 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Copywriting and storytelling experience.
* Knowledge of Maths.
Experience
* Liaising with diverse stakeholders.
* Writing documents and strategic plans.
* Experience in trust fundraising, bid writing, and securing significant funding.
Additional Criteria
* Financial understanding of budgets.
* High accuracy and presentation standards.
* Ability to differentiate key information.
* Prioritisation skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Knowledge of the voluntary sector.
* Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and databases.
