We are seeking a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Independent Sales Division. The successful candidate will ideally be based in North Yorkshire but will be required to travel nationally on a regular basis. Reporting directly to the Field Sales Director, this pivotal role combines winning new business with Regional Sales Leadership making it an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional.
As Business Development Manager, you will:
1. Identify and secure New Business opportunities within the Independent Retail and Garden Centre market.
2. Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers, from single-site retailers to multi-site operators.
3. Present compelling Commercial Proposals that demonstrate our market-leading Product Range, Display Solutions and Customer Service .
4. Lead, Coach, and Develop two Sales Executives, acting as their Regional Manager to ensure consistent performance and Professional Growth.
5. Work closely with Internal Teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term account success.
6. Consistently deliver against ambitious New Business and Team Sales Targets.
About you:
We are looking for a proven sales professional with a strong track record of winning New Business and converting prospects into long-term customers. You will also have experience of Managing or Coaching others, with the ability to Inspire, Motivate, and Lead by Example.

11. The ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.
