About the role
Grant Thornton’s UK member firms are part of a global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms. The VAT team helps clients navigate complex UK and global VAT rules, optimise their tax position, and manage risk in a fast‑changing digital landscape.
What you'll do
* Provide VAT and customs advice to a variety of clients, from household names to innovative start‑ups, ensuring compliance with VAT rules.
* Contribute from day one to real tax projects, taking ownership of tasks that stretch your thinking and build confidence.
* Collaborate with experienced colleagues to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for efficiencies across client reporting processes and supply chains.
* Draft clear, concise written advice in report or memo format, and analyse clients’ VAT data using Excel to support informed decision‑making.
* Learn continuously on the job with guidance from mentors and a structured training programme that develops your technical, digital and professional skills.
* Study for ATT and CTA qualifications with dedicated time, paid study leave, expert tuition and all course fees covered.
