Engineering Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Shift: Days (Monday to Friday)
Location: Stockport
Are you ready to lead and grow within a thriving industrial environment? We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Engineering Manager to take ownership of our engineering function and drive operational excellence across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small, capable team and supporting critical plant and equipment performance.
Skills required for the Engineering Manager
* Leadership experience
* Minimum HNC in Engineering
* Manufacturing experience
* Fault-finding skills with PLCs
* A driven, humble leader who balances hands-on support with effective team development
Responsibilities include:
* Planning and prioritising daily maintenance and engineering tasks
* Leading shutdowns, CAPEX projects and managing external contractors
* Ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations (power presses, LEV, HVAC, etc.)
* Managing budgets, training records, recruitment and performance reviews
* Driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives
