Gi Pro Maintenance are working with a well-established UK manufacturer in the fresh food and FMCG sector, with an annual turnover of over £500 million and more than 1,200 employees across multiple UK sites, hiring a Maintenance Engineer to join its West Sussex-based facility and support with rapidly expanding production capabilities.
The role involves responding to both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns across a range of food production equipment, including conveyors, wash tank pumps, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, control panels and safety circuits. Engineers will be expected to be skilled in fault-finding, maintaining accurate shift logs via a CMMS as well as basic knowledge of PLCs (Mitsubishi, Siemens etc..)

What are we looking for?
Previous maintenance experience, ideally within food manufacturing but open to all industries.
An electrical bias (70/30 or 60/40) with knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, safety circuits and PLCs.
Level 3 electrical qualifications (NVQ/BTEC) or equivalent.
An engineer that has strong communication skills, highly organised, proactive and willing to take initiative.
