Our client is looking to appoint a Conveyancing Paralegal to be based in their office in Inverness. The purpose of the role is as follows:
* Undertake residential and commercial conveyancing and administration duties.
* Dealing with general queries regarding Conveyancing clients and a range of external contacts.
* Advise new clients on procedure and requirements.
* Provide excellence in communication between clients, Solicitors and colleagues.
* Maintain and comply with the standards set by the Law Society of Scotland as a registered Conveyancing Paralegal.
Duties include:
* Drafting letters, Missives and Dispositions.
* Completing Standard Securities, Certificates of Title and Land Registry Forms.
* Undertaking searches.
* Completing other deeds and documents as required.
* Investigate title and report to lenders and clients.
* Liaise with clients, other legal firms, banks and other establishments as required to perform duties.
* Ensure all duties are undertaken to the highest standard and within specified timescales.
* Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with internal or external customers.
* Adhere to the companys Health and Safety Policy.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks within the Department as required.
Person Specification:
Experience:
* Relevant experience of working within a busy legal practice would be a distinct advantage.
Education and Qualification:
* Conveyancing Paralegals Qualification
* Legal knowledge and experience of working in a Solicitors Conveyancing Department.
Essential Skills & Abilities:
* Good written and oral communications.
* Ability to understand and follow procedures.
* IT literacy, particularly in standard MS office applications.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers, including clients, colleagues and Partners, verbally, by telephone and in writing.
* Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships as part of a team.
