Our client, an established Main Contractor specialising within the Healthcare, Education and Leisure sector, are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their office in Bishops Stortford due to continued growth. You will be joining a family run business, managing anywhere from 4-5 projects at one time within the region.
You will be managing mainly refurbishment (some new builds) projects ranging up to £2 million in value. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for to join a stable and growing company who have a strong pipeline of projects and an attractive package on offer. It is envisaged that the ideal candidate has similar project experience and must hold relevant qualifications and certificates. This position may also be suitable for an experienced Site Manager who is looking for a step up to Project Manager level.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Develop project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Manage project budgets and track expenses
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams
