*Job Description SP-KW-CONWY1 * Job Reference: SP-KW-CONWY1 Closing: 9th July 2025 Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker. Hours: Wednesday 6 hours every week. Every other Monday 4 hours. (Possible further hours to cover other staff leave and sickness). Monday hours and 3 of the hours on the Wednesday will be in the evening. (Times to be discussed and mutually agreed with employer). Rates of Pay: £12.60 per hour. Work Area /Location: Abergele, Conwy. Responsible to: You will be directly responsible to your employer. Job Purpose To work one to one with an adult with Downs Syndrome who has a great sense of humour to support and promote more independence and personal choices in a positive and encouraging way. Task and duties, to include any or all the following: To support with: Attendance at pre-organised structured activities. Volunteering opportunities and accessing the community using public transport. Day Trips (Planning and managing money). Managing challenging behavior. Assisting with personal care when required. Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed. Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed. Personal Specification: Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times. Must hold a full Driving License, with Business Insurance Cover, as use of the service user's motability vehicle will be required to carry out some of their structured activities. Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family. Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times. Be trustworthy and kind. Be punctual, reliable and have some degree of flexibility at short notice to cover sickness.
