Overview
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications (DOMC), the Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the execution of effective marketing and communications strategies that align with the company’s business goals. This role is vital in upholding each property’s brand identity and elevating the brand experience through activations in PR and media relations, brand partnerships, digital marketing, community service and social responsibility. Functioning as the second in command, the Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively implemented and followed. As a brand guardian, the Marketing Communications Manager must always have the brand promise of Conrad Maldives at the heart of their mission.
What will I be doing?
As Marketing Communications Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
MEDIA RELATIONS AND PR
* Coordinates media interest and ensures regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
* Validates and qualifies media requests and marketing partnerships for further reach in reputation and standing. Vets marketing opportunities for growth in reach.
* Responds to media queries, and coordinates and organizes press and familiarization trips, media stays, and collaborations.
* Entertains the department’s guests, conducts property tours and inspections, and coordinates itineraries appropriate for each unique partner stay.
* Liaises with guests and external stakeholders, such as attending management cocktails, taking on MOD shifts, and coordinating with agencies and partners.
ADMIN AND LEADERSHIP
* Creates presentations and reports to illustrate the department’s activations and campaigns, including gathering research on relevant matters as needed (e.g., competitors, trends).
* Administers contracts and agreements for the department with external parties, ensuring compliance with company and country regulations.
* Assumes Officer-in-Charge duties of the Marketing Communications department in the absence of the DOMC, representing the department in meetings and functions where Marketing Communications presence is required.
* Takes on HOD responsibilities, such as inclusion in the monthly Manager on Duty roster and participation in HOD meetings.
* Supports the DOMC in daily operations, including approval of and responding to requests from other departments.
* Maintains effective internal communications to ensure all relevant departments are aware of marketing objectives.
* Liaises with partners as directed by the DOMC, such as corporate office and contracted PR agencies, service providers, other departments, and various stakeholders.
* Supports all commercial actions to ensure departmental goals are met.
* Takes lead in creating reports and presentations that convey the department’s and/or properties’ marketing and communications efforts.
* Assists in administrative duties and staying informed of departmental operations, including budgets and expenditures, tracking of training hours, project KPIs, and schedules; supports the development of the remaining Marketing Communications team.
COMMUNICATIONS
* Imbibes each property’s brand identity and keeps up with brand updates. Assists the DOMC and other stakeholders in upholding the branding guidelines.
* Champions the hotel’s media monitoring by maintaining the PR database and providing regular media production and news reports about the resorts online, and calculates the social media values the hotel garners.
* Develops and executes creative concepts that further each property’s brand promise and elevates guest experience, such as annual events and campaigns. Coordinates with other departments and stakeholders for the success of Marketing Communications activations.
* Collaborates with F&B, sales, operations, revenue management, and cluster eCommerce teams to ensure alignment of communication campaigns with business goals and distribution strategies.
* Supports ongoing media and PR efforts, including media and influencer relations, press trips and hosting, and engagement with partners and collaborators before, during, and after their stay.
* Creates copywriting for marketing collateral, press releases, concept papers, and reports.
DIGITAL MARKETING
* Oversees the development and execution of digital marketing strategies across multiple platforms (web, social, email) aligned with the resort’s overall positioning.
* Oversees content and structure of the resort’s Hilton-managed OHW site and microsite.
* Tracks performance metrics using GA4, UTM tracking, and campaign dashboards to measure site traffic, conversions, and revenue attribution.
* Regularly generates reports on brand website performance and year-to-date progress for internal review and corporate reporting.
* Collaborates with the Digital Marketing Executive and external agencies to roll out paid social campaigns.
* Ensures influencer and media coverage is repurposed effectively across digital channels for brand reach, user-generated content, and SEO benefits.

What are we looking for?
* At least 5 years of experience in hotel and/or resort marketing and communications, working in a similar capacity at Manager or Assistant Manager level, with a strong background in digital marketing.
* Excellent communications skills, both in verbal and written English, with experience in copywriting. A writing sample will be required.
* Eye for aesthetics and design, with experience in managing photo and video shoots.
* Hyper-organized and efficient, a go-getter, with experience in coordinating events and campaigns, and able to manage time effectively.
* Creative, collaborative and enthusiastic with a thirst for knowledge and career advancement.
* Personable and sociable, with experience entertaining and/or hosting media, press and other guests.
* Thrives in a collaborative environment and supports development of others.
* Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Familiarity with design/template platforms such as Canva or similar tools.
* Stellar presentation skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
