Due to securing multiple new contracts, our client based within a state-of-the-art modern manufacturing facility in Rotherham is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. With an extremely healthy order book, this is an exciting time to join the business. They pride themselves on impressive staff retention levels, including employees with 20+ years of service.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and managing new product introduction projects from concept to production
* Developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
* Monitoring project progress and adjusting plans to meet targets
* Coordinating NPI meetings as required
* Producing and developing designs from concept into production, ensuring all modifications are captured and implemented
* Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
* Optimizing production processes for efficiency, cost, and quality
* Coordinating with suppliers and vendors for tooling and material requirements
* Planning and overseeing testing and validation of new products to meet regulatory and customer requirements
* Assisting in creating a facility that delivers recognized quality products
* Managing document packages and product releases
* Managing non-conformance and corrective actions
* Contributing to standards control, internal audits, and risk assessments
* Informing relevant personnel of quality issues affecting customers for immediate action
* Completing quality plans and validating procedures, measures, and targets
This role suits someone with previous quality experience who is interested in developing into a combined quality and NPI role, ideally within the oil and gas, aerospace, heat treatment, foundry, steelworks, or casting industries.
