Description This is an exciting and challenging role in a growing team of 130 C&S Engineers and Designers. Our department covers a range of projects from Concept Studies through to Detailed Design provide a variety of interesting work. Industries can range across Water, Transport and Energy including Green Energy, Nuclear and Oil and Gas. Responsibilities We work with customers as a primary provider of engineering support through ECI and FEED phases to take their project through to detailed design and construction. Working supervision and guidance, the fundamental requirement of this role is to work with our existing design team including carrying out feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs, and preparing reports and technical specifications and proposals for key local and regional clients. You will; Take responsibility for small projects and sub tasks from a technical perspective Support Senior and Principal Engineers Prepare, under supervision, preliminary and detailed design analysis, calculations, specifications and related documentation for civil and structural works Communicate designs effectively to the BIM teams Communicate effectively with other disciplines and construction teams You will be based in Manchester 2-3 days per week with occasional visits to other offices and site. LI-MR1 Qualifications Essential Good UK knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline. Awareness of risk identification, quantification, management and of HSE requirements Minimum BEng Civil or Structural Engineering Actively progressing chartership with ICE or IStructE Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance Desirable Proven experience within the UK nuclear industry. Experience with new and historic structures, including optioneering assessments. Nuclear Industry recognised training and qualifications Currently holding Security Clearance CSCS or CCNSG
