Finance Manager - Manufacturing
Location: Northampton
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + benefits
Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based
The Opportunity
A well-established and highly regarded business is seeking a Finance Manager to join its team in a broad and hands-on role.
Working closely with senior leadership, this position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function whilst supporting wider commercial and operational decision-making. The successful candidate will be a key member of a close-knit team and will play an important role in the continued success of the business.
This role would suit somebody who enjoys working within a collaborative environment, is happy to get involved across all areas of finance and is looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
* Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
* Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
* Support year-end accounts and external audit processes
* Management and development of finance processes and procedures
* Business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders
* Analysis of margins, profitability and business performance
* Support strategic decision-making through financial insight
* Oversee day-to-day finance operations
* Ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified preferred
* Previous Finance Manager or Financial Controller experience
* Strong management accounting and financial control background
* Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
* Hands‑on and adaptable approach
* Comfortable working within a smaller, collaborative team
* Experience within manufacturing, retail, consumer products, distribution or similar environments would be advantageous
* Strong Excel and systems skills
