Location - Manchester, fully site-based
A Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Manchester. Your responsibilities will include supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects.
* Ensure technical, commercial, and HSEQ compliance.
* Log rock and soil samples (e.g., boreholes and trial pits) and carry out field testing and surveying.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Geotechnical Engineering) and have a minimum of 18 months experience conducting ground investigations. The role requires strong communication and organisational skills, proficiency with MS Office, and a full UK driving licence for travel to various sites.
