Job summary We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Technician to join the Occupational Therapy Team at the Grange University Hospital in Llanfrechfa Experience of working with people with a variety of health conditions is essential ,as is the ability to work flexibly and proactively to deliver a fast paced and clinically effective service. The post holder will hold their own caseload as well as supporting the occupational therapists to deliver an OT service in GUH. This is a hospital based post, but Occupational Therapy can be delivered both in the hospital and in the community. Main duties of the job The post offers opportunity to deliver a variety of assessments and interventions with patients in the hospital and on occasions in their own homes and communities. The post offers opportunities to manage a caseload, develop knowledge, skills and experience in supporting patients to be discharged from hospital. We need an effective communicator who can work flexibly and proactively to deliver a prompt and clinically effective service. You should be a creative problem solver, and demonstrate a willingness to develop and pilot new ideas. You will possess excellent organisational skills related to yourself and supporting the workload management of the team.
