The role
TechMet are recruiting Precast Setup Technician on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the precast concrete and civil engineering sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production team working on major construction, infrastructure, coastal protection, road and rail projects across the UK and Ireland. Key Responsibilities Set up precast concrete units, including moulds, reinforcement positions, lifters, inserts and concrete finishes. Read and interpret technical and construction drawings accurately. Ensure adherence to daily production plans and quality standards. Liaise with technical teams to resolve production issues. Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and quality. Complete production records and communicate progress with supervisors. Support continuous improvement initiatives and work flexibly across production areas. Essential Criteria NVQ Level 3 in Construction or a related discipline, and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in reading drawings and precast pour setups. Experience within construction, manufacturing or civil engineering environments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good understanding of health and safety requirements. Desirable Criteria Experience using hand, air or power tools. Counterbalance Forklift or Overhead Crane licence. CSR, First Aid or Fire Warden training.
