IMPORT/EXPORT FREIGHT SUPERVISOR
Our client is now seeking an experienced Import/Export Multimodal Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and oversee multimodal import/export transportation activities including air, sea & road dealing with both FCL and LCL shipments
* Support and guide and supervise the Team of 5 Freight Operators
* Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of shipments to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.
* Must be happy to quote for New and Existing Business and visit customers as and when required.
* Liaise with carriers, vendors, and clients to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues.
* Manage documentation, customs clearance, and compliance requirements for international shipments.
* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in multimodal operations within the freight forwarding
* Experience in CDS is a must
* Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
* Must be very hands on
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
* Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite desirable but not essential
* Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
