Overview:
As a Legal Assistant, you will provide vital support to the legal team by assisting with legal administration tasks, managing casework, and conducting thorough legal research. Your attention to detail and expertise in case management systems and court bundles will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of legal proceedings.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the legal team to prepare and maintain court bundles, ensuring all necessary documentation is included for hearings and trials.
2. Conduct in-depth legal research to support the preparation of cases and provide accurate and relevant information.
3. Assist with the management of casework, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
4. Efficiently operate and utilise case management systems to document and organise legal information and updates.
5. Assist with the drafting and proofreading of legal documents and correspondences.
Qualifications:
6. Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in the public sector
7. Strong knowledge of legal procedures, case management systems, and court processes.
8. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
9. Proficient research and analytical abilities to gather and present information accurately.
10. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Details:
12. Ongoing temporary contract with a competitive hourly rate from £16.00 per hour PAYE to £20 per hour Umbrella
13. Conveniently located office, just a 3-minute walk from Royal Albert train station.
